Alban
The civilization of Monte Alban flourished
from 500 BC until 1500 AD. Its urban complex
is located on top of a mountain which rises
1200 ft. above the valley.
It is not hard to imagine the feeling of
power and dominion that the Zapotecs must
have experienced when overlooking the wide
and amazing panorama of the valley stretching
out below them
